Rank Chief Medical Officer, head of the Medical Office. He or she sets the policies and the standards of practice.
Physician, a medical doctor holding a degree of medicine. He or she is capable of performing medicine independently.
Healer/Surgeon, a healer is a folk healer or magician with no formal training or education while a surgeon is commonly (but not always) also a medical provider without formal training. Healers may practice only to the degree permitted by the present physician or according to the standards set by the Chief Medical Officer. Surgeons may perform surgery independently but may not practice medicine except as authorized by the present physician or according to the standards set by the Chief Medical Officer.
Nurse/Medical Student, a nurse is an assistant to the physician, healer or surgeon who carries out the orders given to him or her by that medical provider. Medical students are most commonly students of the local university, however they may come from other areas as well. They may practice under the supervision of an attendant physician, healer or surgeon.
